Call for Meta-reviewers

Dear colleagues, 

We welcome applications to become part of the QoMEX 2023 Technical Program Committee (TPC) as a meta-reviewer.

Meta-Reviewers play a key role in the review process, helping the TPC chairs to shape the technical program of the conference. They are responsible for coordinating reviews for around 3-4 full-paper submissions and attending the (hybrid) TPC meeting on April 19th 2023 via Teams or in person in Ghent, Belgium (IMEC-Ghent University). 

A meta-meviewer at QoMEX 2023 will: 

• Assign one extra reviewer per paper, in addition to the ones assigned by the TPC chairs.

• Double check the reviews, ensuring high-quality standards.

• Write a meta-review, summarizing the strengths and weaknesses; inform the authors if a rebuttal is expected or not, and clearly indicate the topics that such a rebuttal should cover.

• After the rebuttal, encourage discussion between the reviewers, update the meta-review if needed and make a recommendation to the TPC chairs about the paper.

• Participate in the (hybrid) TPC meeting.

Please note that meta-reviewers may be asked to review 1-2 additional papers. 

We welcome applications from academics, industrial practitioners, postdoctoral researchers, and senior PhD students, who have expertise in areas related to QoMEX.

Deadline for applications: Feb. 10, 2023

After the application deadline, applicants will be considered and selected as meta-reviewers, and the TPC Chairs may invite additional meta-reviewers to complete the team. The ultimate goal is to reach a diverse, inclusive and balanced TPC team in terms of fields of expertise, experience and perspectives, both from academia and industry.

• Submission of papers: February 19, 2023 

• Reviews due: March 19, 2023

• Meta-reviews due: March 23, 2023

• Rebuttal phase: March 24 - April 6, 2023 

• Updated meta-reviews (post-rebuttal) due: April 16, 2023

• (hybrid) TPC meeting: April 18 - 19, 2023 

• Full paper notification: April 21, 2023

• Short paper submission: April 28, 2023

• Short paper/demos TPC meeting (Online): May 16, 2023

• Short paper/demos notifications: May 17, 2023
